NevaSolo is operated by Trinity Financial Management Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you use the NevaSolo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

NevaSolo is an event-based personal safety and coordination platform designed to support user-initiated safety sessions, trip sharing, and incident response. The platform does not continuously monitor users and does not collect or share location data outside of active sessions initiated by the user.


1. Jurisdiction and scope

This Privacy Policy is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Where applicable, it is also intended to align with international data protection frameworks including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By using the Services, you acknowledge that your personal information may be collected, processed, and stored in accordance with this Privacy Policy.


2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • account role (for example: personal user, trusted contact, or organisational role)

Trusted contacts must have a NevaSolo account to participate in safety sessions or incident coordination.


2.2 Location information & Privacy Policy

NevaSolo collects location information only during active safety sessions, trips, or incidents initiated by the user.

Location data may include:

  • real-time location updates during an active session
  • destination location associated with a trip
  • estimated arrival time (ETA)
  • limited cached location information to support continuity during an active session
  • historic location data associated with a completed incident

Location data is visible only to authorised participants in a session.

This may include:

  • the user initiating the session
  • trusted contacts selected by the user
  • authorised organisational users within enterprise environments
  • recipients of Share Trip links

Location data is not visible to unrelated users or public parties.


2.3 Share Trip access

Users may generate temporary Share Trip links allowing selected individuals to view limited session information.

Recipients of Share Trip links may access information including:

  • real-time location during the session
  • destination location
  • estimated arrival time (ETA)
  • session status updates

Recipients of Share Trip links may view this information without creating a NevaSolo account.

Share Trip access is temporary and expires when the session ends or shortly after arrival at the destination.


2.4 Emergency evidence (audio, video, and photos)

When a user activates an emergency session or incident, the app may capture:

  • audio recordings
  • video recordings
  • photographs
  • supporting media (“Emergency Evidence”)

Emergency Evidence:

  • is captured only when a user explicitly activates an emergency or incident
  • may be visible to trusted contacts participating in the session
  • may be visible to authorised organisational users in enterprise environments depending on role permissions
  • may be downloaded by the user or trusted contacts associated with the session

Emergency Evidence is not captured outside of user-initiated sessions.


2.5 Incident and coordination data

Where incidents or requests are created, the platform may record:

  • incident type
  • date and time
  • descriptive notes
  • incident status updates
  • acknowledgements and responses
  • media attachments

In enterprise environments, incident information may be visible to authorised organisational users depending on role-based permissions.


2.6 Communications and notifications

The platform may send:

  • push notifications related to safety sessions or incidents
  • system notifications related to account activity
  • operational announcements regarding the service

Notifications are delivered using third-party infrastructure including:

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android)
  • Apple Push Notification Service (iOS)

Certain notifications are required for core safety features to function.


2.7 Analytics and operational logs

We maintain internal operational logs and analytics to:

  • monitor platform performance
  • detect errors and system failures
  • maintain system security and reliability

These analytics are used only for operational purposes and are not used for advertising, profiling, or behavioural tracking.


3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide and operate the Services
  • enable safety sessions and incident coordination
  • deliver alerts and notifications
  • maintain platform security and reliability
  • support user requests and account management
  • comply with legal obligations
  • improve platform functionality and performance

We do not use personal information for advertising or behavioural profiling.


4. Disclosure of information

4.1 Role-based sharing

Information is shared only with individuals authorised to participate in a session or incident.

This may include:

  • trusted contacts selected by the user
  • recipients of Share Trip links
  • authorised organisational users in enterprise environments

Access to information is controlled using role-based permissions.


4.2 Organisational access (enterprise use)

Where the platform is used by organisations, incident and coordination data may be visible to authorised users depending on their role.

Examples may include:

  • security personnel responsible for a specific location or zone
  • organisational administrators
  • staff associated with a specific location or tenant

Organisations are responsible for managing access permissions for their users.


4.3 Operator and legal access

NevaSolo may access incident data or emergency evidence only where necessary to:

  • support user-requested exports
  • maintain system integrity
  • investigate security or misuse issues
  • comply with lawful requests from authorities

Information may be disclosed where required by law or lawful authority.


4.4 Third-party service providers

We may disclose limited information to infrastructure providers that support the operation of the platform.

These providers may include services used for:

  • cloud hosting
  • notifications
  • infrastructure monitoring

We do not sell personal information to third parties.


5. Data retention

Data is retained only for the period necessary to support platform operation.

General retention practices include:

  • account information retained while the account remains active
  • incident data and emergency evidence typically retained for approximately 90 days
  • evidence may be retained longer where required for legal purposes or user-requested export

Data is securely deleted or anonymised after the applicable retention period.


6. Data storage and international transfers

NevaSolo uses secure third-party infrastructure providers to host and operate the platform.

Data may currently be stored or processed on infrastructure located in the United States.

As the platform evolves, data hosting locations may change.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside Australia.


7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against:

  • misuse
  • interference
  • loss
  • unauthorised access
  • modification
  • disclosure

These safeguards include secure infrastructure, controlled access systems, and monitoring of platform operations.


8. User rights and control

Users may:

  • request access to their personal information
  • request correction of inaccurate information
  • request account deletion
  • request exports of their own incident or evidence data

Account deletion requests can be submitted using the contact details below and may require verification.

Certain operational or legal obligations may require limited information to be retained.


9. Children and age considerations

NevaSolo is not restricted to a specific age group.

We encourage guardians or responsible adults to supervise use where appropriate.


10. Website cookies

The NevaSolo website may use minimal cookies or similar technologies necessary for basic website functionality.

These may include cookies required for:

  • site operation
  • security
  • basic analytics

We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising or third-party marketing.


11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Material changes may be communicated through the platform or website.

Continued use of the Services may require acceptance of updated policies.
