NevaSolo is operated by Trinity Financial Management Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information when you use the NevaSolo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

NevaSolo is an event-based personal safety and coordination platform. It is designed to support user-initiated safety sessions and incident response. It is not a monitoring or surveillance service, and it does not collect or share personal data outside of active sessions.


1. Jurisdiction and scope

This Privacy Policy is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Where applicable, it is also intended to align with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the United Kingdom, European Union, and other jurisdictions with similar data protection laws.


2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Account role (for example: personal user or trusted contact)

Trusted contacts must have an account to participate in safety sessions.
Recipients of Share Trip links may view limited information via a secure link without creating an account.


2.2 Location information

NevaSolo collects location data only during active safety sessions or incidents.

This may include:

  • Real-time location updates during an active session
  • Limited cached location data to support continuity
  • Historic location data associated with a completed incident

Location data is:

  • Visible to the user who initiated the session
  • Visible to selected trusted contacts while the session is active
  • Not visible to unrelated users or public parties

Location data associated with incidents is retained for a limited period and is deleted or anonymised in accordance with our retention policy.


2.3 Emergency evidence (audio, video, and photos)

When a user activates an emergency session, the app may capture audio recordings, video recordings, and photographs (“Emergency Evidence”) to assist with personal safety and response.

Emergency Evidence:

  • Is captured only when a user explicitly initiates an emergency
  • Is shared with the user’s selected trusted contacts during the emergency
  • May remain accessible for a limited period after the emergency ends
  • May be retained for operational, legal, or user-requested export purposes

Emergency Evidence is not captured outside of emergency sessions.


2.4 Incident and coordination data

When an incident or request is created, we may collect:

  • Date and time
  • Incident type
  • Descriptive notes
  • Status updates and acknowledgements

This information is used solely to support safety coordination and incident response.


2.5 Communications

We may send:

  • Push notifications related to safety sessions or incidents
  • Emails related to account or service functionality
  • Occasional service-related announcements

Users may opt out of marketing communications.
Notifications required for the operation of safety features cannot be disabled.


2.6 Analytics and operational logs

We maintain analytics and backend logs to:

  • Monitor system performance
  • Detect errors
  • Maintain security and operational integrity

We do not use analytics data for advertising, profiling, or behavioural tracking.


3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and operate the Services

4.1 Role-based sharing

Information is shared strictly on a role-based and session-based basis:

  • Users control their own safety sessions
  • Trusted contacts see session data during active emergencies
  • Trusted contacts may retain limited access for a short period after an emergency ends
  • Personal safety data is not publicly visible

4.2 Operator and legal access

NevaSolo may access emergency information and evidence only where necessary to:

  • Support user safety
  • Assist with user-requested evidence exports
  • Comply with legal obligations or lawful requests
  • Maintain system integrity

Such access is restricted, controlled, and logged.


4.3 Third parties

We do not sell personal data.

We may disclose information:

  • To infrastructure and service providers supporting the platform
  • Where required by law or lawful request
  • To protect the rights, safety, or security of users or the Services

5. Data retention

  • Account information is retained while your account is active
  • Emergency Evidence and incident data are generally retained for up to approximately 90 days
  • Evidence may be retained longer where required by law or upon user request
  • Data is securely deleted after the applicable retention period

6. Data storage and security

Data is hosted using secure third-party infrastructure providers.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

Data may be processed or stored outside Australia as infrastructure evolves.


7. User rights and control

Users may:

  • Request access to their personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of their account, subject to legal and operational requirements
  • Request exports of their own emergency data
